An exhibition of nature photographs by Neil R. Shapiro will be on display at Congregation Agudat Achim in Schenectady, NY from December 2 to January 2. There will be an artist's reception from noon to 1pm on December 18th in the Michael Handelman Room, where the exhibition is housed.
Neil’s nature photographs are inspired by his love for impressionistic art. His photographs use long exposures to soften the scene, to show the movement of water or elements of the scene, or camera movement to abstract the colors and forms. Fall foliage, waterfalls, streams, and flowers are principal subjects that lend themselves well to his impressionistic approach to nature photography. The “painterly” feel of his photos is enhanced
further by the selection of canvas as the preferred media for his select work.
Location: Congregation Agudat Achim, 2117 Union Street, Schenectady, NY, 12309, Phone: 518-393-9211
